Ski Pass / Ski Club Update:
In an effort to stay informed and to quell misinformation that is circulating, the Vernon PAL ski club and pass sale info is as follows:
Season pass purchase:
After discussions with our liaison from Mountain Creek, there will be a change in the process for Vernon residents purchasing passes and enrolling in the ski club.  The Vernon PAL will not be selling the passes.  Mountain Creek will be hosting a community event in early November (exact date to be determined) which, once attended, will provide deep discounts for on-line season passes for VERNON residents only.  The prices have not yet been finalized, but they plan to be substantially similar to last year's prices.  These will be the best prices available for Vernon residents.
Ski Club:
Unless state guidelines change, ski clubs will be permitted this year.  Vernon students in 3rd thru 12th grade enrolling in the ski club will be required to register directly through the Vernon PAL.  Information on this process will become available soon, and the $30 fee for this should remain the same or substantially similar as it has in recent years.
Thanks in advance for your patience and understanding as we transition to this new process.

Ski/Snowboard Club teachers/advisors/chaperones are not instructors.  They are here to assist the students with problems and direct them to the appropriate Moutain Creek personnel as necessary.  Ski/Snowboard teachers/advisors/chaperones are not responsible for knowing or monitoring which ski slopes your child is capable of or allowed to be skiing on or that they wear their helmets.
Lessons:  Lessons are mandatory for all students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade regardless of ability.  Ski/snowboard lessons are provided when skiing/snowboarding with group on assigned days only.  Kids in grades 6-12th grade are invited and welcome to take as few or as many lessons they would like during their six week/six session ski club.
Dinner at the Moutain: As most of you know, Mountain Creek did not offer food vouchers for this snow season.  Also, a lot of you alerted us to the fact that the mountain has now gone cashless.  Some good news....there will be a cash pay option for ski club students only!  So you can either send cash, a prepaid card, or a prepared meal to ski club with your child.
Communication: Please do not call the school or the police department regarding ski club questions.  How to contact us: call the PAL building 973-764-9514, check our facebook page/instagram/Remind group for updates.  You can also email
